What has school year 2008-2009 been like?
Faith has read through to the 5th grade, and completed many 3rd grade assignments. She's conquered 2n
d grade spelling missing 4/100+ and 3rd grade spelling missing 17/136+. She has learned many science lessons hands-on. She watched people donate blood, from the prick of the needle, to the blood flow and how the blood is tagged to each donor. She's learned about animal conservation (get into more of that with Tara). Faith has also spent many hours cheering on the Sparta Track & Field Team. She's gotten to know a good portion of new friends several years older than her. Although she's happy for them, the ones who graduated will be greatly missed when the new track season starts. Faith has also made a statement of her Faith recently. She was given her Believer's Baptism in May. What a busy 2nd grade year she had.

She's currently working on her Walk Through the Bible in 
One year. She's found some hard chapters and some easy ones. Although she is behind in her reading, to plans to keep going to reach her goal. Tara medaled at Solo/Ensemble this year with a gold for her level. She competed on the track team, it was a long rough ride but she finished strong after coming off the injured list for a sprained thumb due to Shot Put. Tara recently rescued a Little Brown Bat that was found on her school's steps. Unfortunately the day after we attempted to release Steppers, he died. Upon further examination, we found his wing to be ripped. Since he was found during a rain storm, we feel he probably died due to pneumonia. This FROG (Freshman) has been busy.

Her studies have continued to grow. She's found Biology an exciting field and plans to volunteer/study at a local Vet Clinic to further her research into the Veterinarian field. She's worked on her leadership skills this year telling many students to get to working on their projects and encouraging team members to stretch properly before and after their events. Angela also endured a painful injury. Her main eve
nts are the hurdles, both the 100M high and 300M low. While competing, she tore her quad. After a week of ice stretching and rest, she attempted a come back, only to reinjure the quad. That put her at 2 more weeks of ice, rest, stretching, and zapping her quad. Angela learned to love the Dixie Cup Ice Massage. She finished strong in the end and looks forward to more competitions. Angela has also spent many hours behind the wheel, learning how to drive. SCARY! She's doing well, and we're looking forward to more this summer. Angela received 3 medals in Solo/Ensemble. She'll have to tell you about them because I can't remember which was which. Angela also medaled in some track events. (those are tricky, sometimes they give medals some they don't..... she should have received more). Can you believe all the stuff this Sophomore did?

The girls have done alot more than what I can put in here. We hope to be able to keep this more updated for our friends and family to be able to see how things are going and what we're doing. We are very proud of Angela, Tara and Faith!
This summer, we plan to spend driving with Angela, up at the High School track working toward next year, hiking down the bike trail (biking it is too expensive), keeping up our education, working in our mini-garden, volunteering here and there, catching up on a movie or two or even hanging out with friends. Either way, our busy schedule continues at a more relaxed speed........ WE HOPE!!!
